COMPARING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR VISITING THE COUNTRY OF CHINA AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IN THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC ERA
There are several factors for a person visiting a country,
such as traveling, doing business, or staying in that country for a long time.
Limiting visits to a country is one of the good solutions for now. But gradually, many
countries have opened themselves up to foreign visitors by maintaining strict
health protocols. I will compare two countries on different continents. The
different requirements for visiting these countries are China (Asia) and the
United States (America).
ABOUT VISA
The Country of China at the current pandemic ready to open
up for several foreign citizens, one of which is the Indonesian state. The
requirements that allowed someone from a foreign country is someone who has a
business visa or a citizen who has a valid Chinese residence permit (including
work-type residence permit, personal use, family reunion) and can apply for a
visa in China free of charge. For visits to vacation or travel in this country,
it is still not open or allowed.
Slightly different from China, the United States has
discretion for United States visa holders, that is B1 / B2, C1 / D, or J visas can visit The United States for business trips or tourist trips or vacation visits, but still
with the Health protocol. Applicants wishing to renew a B1 / B2, C1 / D, or J visa that expired less than 24 months ago can be eligible to renew their visa
without an interview via the procedure described on the Embassy website.
For Application Submission, several steps must be to do.
However, a significant difference in making visas for the two countries between
China and America is the interview section. To apply for a visa for China there
is no need for an interview section, in contrast to a visa for the United
States should be doing an interview section.
REQUIREMENTS OF VISIT TO THE DESTINATION COUNTRY
For citizens who wish to visit China, airlines are required
to complete a nucleic acid test within 3 days before boarding, using a negative
result of the nucleic acid test submitting a green nucleic acid code
"HS" or a Health Declaration Form. Chinese airlines will check before
check-in.
Meanwhile, for citizens who want to visit the United States,
the test is mandatory, combined with the CDC's recommendation to be tested 3-5
days after arrival and stay at home for seven days after the trip.
In my opinion, the requirements to visit these two countries
in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic have significant differences. Starting from
the factors that are allowed or not the person for visiting the country and
another requirement. The Covid 19 pandemic has a huge impact on a sector in a
country, and no wonder that many countries have declared foreign nationals to
continue visiting the country despite strict health protocols.
